Things to see & do near the Takasaki-Isesaki cycling route



This is the first silk mill in Japan which was run by the state. The silk industry supported modernization of Japan from the Meiji Restoration (1868) to the Showa Era (1926- 1989). And this silk mill is the origin of expansion of modern silk industry.

This is a city park constructed by Gunma prefecture. In the park there are a prefectural museum of modern art and a prefectural museum of history.
