Things to see & do near the Akita-Oga cycling route



The main event of this museum is exhibiting a original mask of Namahage ogre of each section of Oga city. This museum shows an attraction of Namahage Event of Oga area, using big screen displaying Namahage Orga, etc. The Namahage Event was designated to be a world immaterial cultural heritage. In the Ogasinzan Museum next to this museum, visitors can see the demonstration of the Namahage Event.

The Namahage Museum and Namahage Orges



The Ogashinzan Museum and .a demonstration of the Namahage Event.


This observatory is situated at the top of Mt.Kanpu of Oga Peninsula. The observatory is on the fourth floor, and visitors can enjoy a panoramic vier of all direction. In the second floor and third floor, formation history of Oga Peninsula is shown and plants and animals of Oga Peninsula are drawn.
