Things to see & do near the Yamatochuo cycling route

This shrine is written as the founding place of Japan in The Nihonshoki which is first historical documentation in Japan written by the order of the Emperor. The Jinmu Emperor built this shrine here.

This is the oldest temple in Japan. And this temple has the oldest bronze statue of Buddha in Japan.
