This shrine is dedicating to the load Kenshin Uesugi. It was founded in 1876 at the site of the main enclosure of the Yonezawa Castle. In the Keishoden Hall (admission fee 700 yen), valuable cultural assets from the articles left by the lord Kenshin Uesugi are exhibited

The Uesugi Shrine


A site of small shrine for lord .Kenshin Uesugi(1530 - 1578), and a famous poem of lord Youzan Uesugi(1745 - 1822).
